Law School Committee
The Committee’s purposes are to inform law school students about the practice of environmental and natural resources law and to manage the selection and grant process of scholarships and internships.
The Committee’s goals are to provide outreach to a reasonable number of law students each calendar year and to effectively manage, promote, and maintain scholarship and internship programs.
Publications and Communications Committee
The Committee’s purpose is to oversee and publish the Texas Environmental Law Journal (TELJ), as well as overseeing and assisting with the coordination of other publications in which ENRLS is involved.
The Committee’s goals are to timely publish TELJ and assist or facilitate publication of other ENRLS materials.
Pro Bono and Community Outreach Committee
The Committee’s purposes are to identify and pursue pro bono and community outreach opportunities consistent with the Section’s scope, direction, and defined budget, and which benefit the community or Section members.
The Committee’s goals are to engage in a diverse selection of pro bono and community outreach activities and increasingly engage Section members in such activities, then maintain consistent Section engagement in ongoing activities.
Sponsorship and Membership Committee
The Committee’s purposes are to solicit, promote, track, and monitor sponsorship of ENRLS events and media, and ENRLS support of non-ENRLS events; and to solicit, promote, maintain, and monitor Section memberships.
The Committee’s goals are to maintain a level of ENRLS event sponsorships that provides supplemental revenue to fund ENRLS programs and operational costs, look for new sponsorship opportunities, and to maintain and, as possible, increase Section membership or.
Website and Technology Committee
The Committee’s purpose is to actively improve and maintain the ENRLS website and evaluate other technology-based platforms or methods to promote ENRLS and enhance ENRLS membership engagement with the Section.
The Committee’s goals are to maintain and continually improve the Section’s website, and identify new technology that will improve the website, ENRLS communications, membership engagement, etc.
Education Committee
The Committee’s purpose is to liaison with and assist the planning committees of the continuing legal education events in which ENRLS sponsors and/or participates.
The Committee’s goals are to participate in the planning and management of CLE events to provide CLE opportunities for Section members at a reasonable price in furtherance of ENRLS’s purposes and goals.
Social Media Committee
Because social media has become a frequently used source of information, the Social Media Committee has been established to (1) provide a means for ENRLS to proactively and quickly notify members of important activities of the Section and (2) to enable member of the community to identify and understand ENRLS’s work and impact.
Nominating Committee
The Committee’s purpose is to identify and nominate candidates for Council positions for the upcoming year. It’s comprised of the Chair, Immediate Past Chair, 1 Executive Committee member, and no less than 3 non-Council members of the Section.
