Highlights include a Point/Counterpoint discussion ("The Dynamic Duo"), featuring TCEQ Commissioner Larry Soward and EPA Deputy Regional Administrator Larry Starfield, and an Up for Debate question and answer session ("The Justice League") with high level representatives from TCEQ and EPA discussing a variety of policy issues. The keynote presentation will be given by Ann Klee, Assistant Administrator/General Counsel of EPA ("Wonder Woman"), who returns to the program following her first complete year in office.

The registration fee includes course materials, two continental breakfasts and lunches, and snacks and beverages. A special rate is being offered for governmental agency personnel. The conference has been approved for 11.5 hours of MCLE credit, including 3.25 hours of legal ethics, and for credit toward the continuing legal education requirements for certification by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Administrative Law, Real Estate Law, and Civil Trial Law.

For the first time, there will be a separate 2½ hour program on the fundamentals of environmental law - Environmental Law 101 , which will include sessions on: an overview of environmental law featuring Superfund; air quality; water quality; solid waste management; and the Endangered Species Act. Separate CLE credits will be given for this program, for the same specializations too. This program will be held on Wednesday evening, August 3, at 6 PM.
