Introducing the Environmental Law 101 Program

In conjunction with the Texas Environmental Superconference, there will be a separate 2½ hour program on the fundamentals of environmental law - Environmental Law 101 , which will include sessions on: an overview of environmental law featuring Superfund; air quality; water quality; solid waste management; and the Endangered Species Act. Separate CLE credits will be given for this program, for the same specializations too. This program will be held on Wednesday evening, August 3, at 6 PM. ENRLS Establishes Professor Corwin J. Johnson Memorial Internship

ENRLS has awarded the first Professor Corwin J. Johnson Memorial Internship to Chad West, a second-year law student at Texas Tech University School of Law. This Internship provides law students with an interest in environmental law an opportunity to work during the summer at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

Join Us at the ENRLS Annual Meeting!

At the Annual Meeting on August 6th ENRLS annual meeting will be held August 5, 2005, noon, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Austin, Texas. The meeting will commemorate the late Professor Corwin J. Johnson, long-time water and property law professor at the University of Texas Law School. The internship program the ENRLS has created in his memory will be formally dedicated.

A vote will be taken on new ENRLS officers and executive committee members. The annual meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the Texas Environmental Superconference each year. The Four Seasons hotel is located at 98 San Jacinto Blvd., Austin, Texas.
