Attend the ENRLS Annual Meeting!
The ENRLS annual meeting will be held this Friday, August 8th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Austin Four Seasons Hotel. The annual meeting is scheduled in conjunction with the Texas Environmental Superconference each year. A vote will be taken on the new ENRLS officers and executive committee members. The Four Seasons Hotel is located at 98 San Jacinto Blvd.
The ENRLS Awards Buck J. Wynne Memorial Scholarships
Each year the ENRLS awards a $1,000 scholarship to the student that makes the highest grade in the introductory environmental law course at the State's law schools. Wynne,who served not only as a Commissioner on the Texas Water Commission (predecessor to the TCEQ), but also the Regional Adminstrator at U.S. EPA Region 6. More about Buck Wynne>>
Changes in the Environment
ENRLS Secretary Peter T. Gregg has joined Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. as a Principal in its Austin office, and will be working with the firm's Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups. He was formerly Senior Counsel -Environmental with El Paso Corporation.
Carrick Brooke-Davidson, Environmental Superconference Planning Committee member, has opened the Austin offices of Guida, Slavich & Flores, PC. He was formerly with Andrews Kurth.
Layla Mansuri has joined the Texas Office of the Environmental Integrity Project as Counsel. She was formerly with the office of Lowerre & Frederick.
Mark Farley has joined Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman as a partner in the firm's Houston office. Stella Dorman and Kristine Linville join the firm as associates. All were formerly with Baker Botts.
R. Kinnan Goleman, formerly with Brown McCarroll, has formed his own firm, KG Strategies.
Janet McQuaid, Environmental Superconference Planning Committee member, has joined El Paso Corporation. She was formerly a partner with
SMITH|ROBERTSON.

Environment & Land Use Department
