Changes in the Environment

Lydia Gonzalez Gromatzky recently joined the Austin office of Beveridge & Diamond, P.C. Before joining the firm, she was most recently Deputy Director of the Office of Legal Services of TCEQ where she had held positions since 1988. She previously served as Senior Attorney for Hazardous Waste, Assistant Director for the Legal Division, Special Counsel for the Office of Legal Services and Senior Director of the Office of Legal Services.

Lori J. Warner has joined the Houston office of Adams & Reese, L.L.P., as a partner with the Energy and Environmental Team.

Carol Lear (left) recently left the TCEQ to join Chevron as Senior Attorney in the Environmental Practice Group of its Law Department.

Russell H. Johnson has joined the environmental and water law practice group of McGinnis, Lockridge & Kilgore, L.L.P., as a partner in the Austin office.

Kerrie Qualtrough recently became the Senior Attorney for water quality at TCEQ.

Melinda Taylor recently joined the faculty at the University of Texas School of Law to run the Environmental Law Clinic. Ms. Taylor is also “Of Counsel” in the Environmental and Land Use section at the law firm of Smith, Robertson, Elliot, Glen, Klein & Bell.

Emily Rogers became a partner at Bickerstaff, Heath, Pollan & Caroom, L.L.P. Ms. Rogers has been a significant contributor to the Water Quality and Water Utilities section of the Texas Environmental Law Journal.

Paul Sarahan (right, with his "Incredible" twins during last year's Environmental Superconference), who was formerly Director of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (“TCEQ”) Litigation Division, joined Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. Prior to becoming Director, he was a Senior Attorney and a Staff Attorney at TCEQ.
