Essentials of Texas Water Resources
In 2007, the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and representatives of Texas Bar Books began discussions about the possibility of developing a book on Texas water law. The Section agreed to provide funding and support for development of the project. The Section solicited volunteers to prepare the various chapters. In 2009, this project culminated in the publication of the Essentials of Texas Water Resources.
The purpose of this work is to provide useful information about the practice of water law in Texas not only to practitioners of water law, but to other practitioners, and not only to attorneys, but to consultants, corporate managers, and private citizens.
In addition to topics typically covered in a book on Texas water law, you'll find chapters on:
Surface water and groundwater modeling and transactions
Water project financing
Governmental acquisition of water rights by involuntary means
Flood management
Water utilities and districts
Wholesale water suppliers
Water quality regulations
Essentials of Texas Water Resources on CD-ROM is included
with purchase and contains the entire book as a fully hyperlinked and
word-searchable Adobe Acrobat PDF file. Texas case citations (S.W.2d
